2C-B-FLY is related to the 2C-x family of psychedelic phenethylamines, specifically 2C-B. 2C-B-FLY is a molecule of the phenethylamine and dihydrobenzofuran classes and was first synthesized by Aaron P. Monte in 1996. 

2C-B-FLY gained some popularity in the research chemicals world before largely disappearing, when a batch of Bromo-DragonFLY was accidentally mislabeled as 2C-B-FLY. Around 2016 it resurfaced on the market again.

2C-B-FLY is 8-bromo-2,3,6,7-benzo-dihydro-difuran-ethylamine. The full name of the chemical is 2-(8-bromo-2,3,6,7-tetrahydrofuran[2,3-f] [1]benzofuran-4-yl)ethanamine. It is highly recommended to use this substance with the proper amount of precaution and harm reduction practices if choosing to use it.
